2.2. Weight & Size

Quick Theory

Drone weight and size calculations are based on the following formulas:

Minimum Frame Diagonal Calculation

Fmin=sin(π/n)×(D+c)F_{min} = \sin(\pi/n) \times (D + c)

Disk Loading Calculation

DL=m×gn×π×(D/2)2DL = \frac{m \times g}{n \times \pi \times (D/2)^2}

The Weight & Size Calculator offers Standard and Advanced options for users to choose from.

Regardless of the option selected, the weight and size calculation results provide the following information:

  • Minimum Frame Diagonal [mm]
  • Disk Loading [N/m²]

2.2.1. Standard

Input Parameters

  • Drone Weight (kg)
  • Drone Type
  • Propeller Diameter (inch)

2.2.2. Advanced

Figure 2. Weight & Size Calculator: Advanced

Input Parameters
